Today on 20:00 - 21:00 28 March 2009, we off the light to signal the concern of environment to the commercial sector.
The matter of fact is, household living comprise less than 10% of all energy consumption. 50 - 60% of energy consumption came from industrial sector then 20% from business/logistic and 10% from agriculture. Doing Earth hour may seem insignificantly small, however, as 10% we are indirectly control the remain 90%. Goods we purchase, food we eat or even software we consume came from the work of the remain 90%. By off the light 1 hr, it will indicate that we, the customer, demand for better world. The message will enhance the commercial to answer for lower emission technology. CSR activities to reduce CO2.
Earth hour though is little to direct reduction of global warming, but as a message, it done the great task. It require our and everyone to support for the better future. Save the world.
